Miscellaneous Stories

The following is a list of miscellaneous stories I have written including several available in other pages on this website - but they're all here to make it easy to find them.  I'd really appreciate any comments and feedback, although I'd prefer that it was positive.

Stories

Gamers  A tribute to Sum 40 tales of the Afterlives.  I was so inspired by this lovely set of stories that I wrote my own.  See what you think.

The Unselfish Meme  This story was partly inspired by my readings on memes but also bringing them into the origins of belief in local deities, etc.  I rather enjoyed writing it and I liked developing the storyline of the characters.

eGhost  This story was inspired by my digital picture viewer.  Hopefully, someone somewhere will find it scary or thoughtful.

Video Diary  This story came out of an exercise in a comedy writing workshop.  It needs more work to make it funnier, but it does show the character of the speaker well.  I enjoyed writing it.

God Is in My Bedroom  This story is more about the difficulties in being a father than anything else.  I hope fathers everywhere enjoy it.

Planetary Fable.  When I wrote this I really was just messing around.  Still it gets a message across.

Starting Chapters of Novels

Nirvana Manor was my first attempt at writing a novel.  The characters are very odd, so it's not to everyone's liking, but it has some very funny sections.

Suicide is Easy is my second novel.  It's a story set in a seedy jazz bar, of suicide and death and one woman's refusal to accept the easy explanation for the loss of a friend.  To fit in with the genre I didn't include mysticism, religion or as much humour.
