A quote from Sins of the Angel

Before she could attack me again I followed up my advantage.  ‘I'm sorry.  I know that you've been hurt.  But, it was Dr Matthews... Dr M...'

She looked at me astounded, perhaps ready to hear a message from me instead of Dr M.

‘Look,' I said, ‘he was a bastard.  An uptight misogynist.  You didn't deserve what he did to you.  The way he treated you.'

She ignored me.  ‘Do you really hate women so much?  Is that why you did this to me?'  She gestured down to her body as if there was something to be seen, and yet she looked like any other forty-something woman.

I couldn't understand what was going on.  The conversation kept changing too quickly.  What had Dr M done to her appearance?  ‘Please, you must understand.  I'm not ...  I'm not the same person I used to be.'

‘You have changed since that attack.'  She sneered.  ‘You've become pathetic.'

‘No.  It's more important than that.'

‘Okay, so what happened to you?'  Tears were now flowing freely down her cheeks.

It was time to tell her everything, but I was a bit nervous.  She was so angry.  What would she do to me?  How would she react?  ‘Dr M died,' I said.  ‘I came instead.  I... I'm an angel.'

About Sins of the Angel

Here's a fantasy book of angels and demons that's really different.

Sins of the Angel starts with a preacher, Dr Gideon Matthews, who's killed and comes back as an angel.  He soon finds he has a demon chasing him and he's trying to stop the demon from torturing and killing sinners.  Stopping the apocalypse is just the next step!

This book is about all of lives, it's about the bible, sin and redemption.  Are you struggling to understand your spiritual role in this world?  This might help.

Reviews

It's a good pacey read, but don't just believe me, read these reviews:

Bookbag says

So, if you're looking for a pacey read about angels and demons, sin and judgment, death and redemption then this is would be a good purchase to make!

Albedo One

Opening Sins of the Angel to any chapter is likely to provide the reader with a chapter and verse biblical quote that aptly draws itself into this well-conceived tale of transformation, temptation and spiritual torment. The passages breath life and purpose into the accompanying tale and help to sustain atmosphere where needed.

Amazon in the UK

It's a real page turner, a metaphysical thriller with lots of (almost) sex and violence! I was very intrigued by it and read it far too quickly so I could get to the resolution, the mark of being in the hands of a good story teller. But once I'd finished it I realised that beneath all the plot twists and turns there was another layer dealing with themes of sin, redemption, spiritual joy and religious fundamentalism and ....loads of sex.
